CANADA POST STRIKE  //   HOLIDAY ORDERS  //  PICK UP OPTIONS

Hello friends!

December is usually filled with the joyous chaos of making and shipping off lots and lots of holiday orders. However this year things are pretty quiet here in the SOS Headquarter.

We use Canada Post and with the workers on strike, we had to stop shipping orders out.

While I am aware that there are some shipper alternatives, there are logistic issues with switching to them (e.g. we are not close to their drop off locations). So I decided that putting a hold on shipping was the best option for us at this time.

Sick On Sin, along with the many other small businesses, makes the bulk of the income for the year during November / December. The strike has definitely had a horrible effect, and will result in 2024 being our worst year in our 19-year history.

I’d like to thank our amazing customers who have been patient and understanding while we navigate this. (And super huge thank you to those who have still placed orders with being fine with receiving it after things return to normal!)

It is our hope that the strike is resolved soon so we can get back to shipping out your goodies. However I realize that many people were hoping to get stuff for holiday gifts (which I really appreciate). So here are a few options we're offering that may work for you:

OPTION #1:  LOCAL PICK UP - DUNDAS / FLAMBOROUGH:

If you are local to the Hamilton / Cambridge / Brantford area, there is the option of picking up your order in person.

a) Dundas - our pals at Dundas Chocolate Shop have graciously offered to be a pick up place for us. You should DEF grab some chocolate while you're there!

b) Flamborough - there is also the possibility of picking up order in Lynden.

Please contact me before placing an order if you are interested in this option.

OPTION #2:  COURIER DELIVERY:

Depending on where you live and how close it is to the holidays, there may be the option of sending your order via a courier service such as UPS.

The shipping charge would be more than what we usually charge, but if you were wanting to make a fairly big order it might be worth considering.

Please contact me in advance of placing an order if you are interested in this option.

OPTION #3:  GIFT CARDS:

If you’re shopping for a gift for a Sick On Sin fan, perhaps they’d dig a gift certificate! These are fun because the recipient can come shopping and pick out things they love. Best part - gift certificates get emailed (no physical card) so there is no worry about shipping delays or deadlines!
